Pisa and Luni

Enjoy a unique experience discovering the ancient Roman city of Luni and the wonderful city of Pisa. Accompanied by one of our expert tour leaders, you will depart from the Cruise Terminal in La Spezia aboard one of our comfortable coaches and travel to the archaeological park of Luni, a former Roman colony founded in 177 BC. Luni was a river and sea port that experienced considerable economic development, which was further enhanced by the discovery of marble quarries in the Apuan Alps. Accompanied inside the site, we will visit the Roman amphitheatre. Next, we will visit Pisa, a Tuscan city famous throughout the world for the uniqueness of its Piazza dei Miracoli and its Leaning Tower. Free time will be available to visit the Tuscan town, its monuments, the narrow streets of the historic centre, the Lungarni characterised by picturesque bridges and Piazza dei Cavalieri, still home to the renowned Normale University. At the end of the tour, we will return in time for the departure of the cruise from La Spezia
